Reviews

The best live music I have ever heard.

- Kelly Hay, Laura’s Event Services

You added such a touch of coolness, calmness, classiness, and that oh so elusive and wonderful “je ne sais quoi” to our wedding!

Our first dance was so sweet… and I tell ya… Frank Sinatra himself couldn’t do it any better.

Does your wife know how lucky she is!?

- Kristin Robinson, Dallas, TX

Justin played acoustic guitar and sang for our first dance – even with 200 guests watching us, he made it feel like it was an intimate moment between the two of us.

His traditional wedding songs on acoustic guitar gave us the modern feel we were looking for.

- Errin & Zach Sieling

Brides love Justin and are always happy to have picked him.

Justin is flexible, easy to work with, and
gives brides exactly what they want and more.

- Elise Nipp, Encore Entertainment and Events

He even learned a special song by request that he’d never heard before, and played it masterfully to help us personalize the wedding.

- Andy and Cathy Rainey, Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Justin made our backyard wedding reception the jazzy-cool scene we envisioned and, later in the evening, packed the dance floor to capacity in minutes.

Justin was the easiest decision in planning our wedding!

- Leigh Breunig, Dallas, TX

…So incredibly kind…

I started getting teary-eyed when I listened to his ceremony music!

My fiancé and I had a special request for our first dance song, which Justin learned in a short amount of time—-and he nailed it! We couldn’t have been more pleased with his performance at both our ceremony and our reception!

…. Contagious warmth…willing to bend over backwards to make the client’s vision a reality. Every time we’ve worked together we end up with an ecstatic client begging for more.

He truly cares about each event he is asked to be a part of, he has
thought through every detail far in advance, and he is so organized-

It is always my pleasure to refer
 him!!!

…Absolutely perfect for our intimate wedding reception, yet you also really helped get the party going!

Thank you so much for traveling out to Scottsdale, Arizona to be a part of our very special day! After searching endlessly for bands in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, we knew we found the perfect fit for us when we heard you and your band!

The music was everything we wanted and more!

My mom had some weird song requests that Justin graciously accommodated!

- Ashley Beale, Event Planner, Dallas, TX

The music was perfect through dinner at our reception at Maggiano’s and even more enjoyable when we got to turn it up and have vocals and get folks out on the dance floor!

- Dawn Collins, Atlanta, GA

Accommodating when the time schedule changed a bit and when the crowd started making
requests. Justin sounds like Harry Connick Jr. to me and that is why I
wanted him to sing our first song – It Had To Be You. It made our day that
much more special.

Thanks Justin!

- Renee Berres Quigley
, Dallas, TX

EXACTLY what we were looking for! His playlist is extensive and we were able to find music that fits our personalities for our wedding ceremony. He is very accommodating and goes above and beyond to make your special occasion as perfect as possible.

During the wedding planning period Justin was helpful in selecting the correct music and timely in replying to our questions. He is such a great guy to work with.

- Andrew and Ashley Gannon, Mckinney, TX

Justin had the sound set just right – not too loud, but not too soft, either.

FAQ

How much do you charge?

Kindly let me know what you are looking for, and I will send you a pricing sheet with a variety of options to choose from. Please email me at

You can also have a quick look at the RATES page of this website to save time.

I want an intimate feel, it’s a small wedding/party, what would you recommend?

A solo, duo, or small trio all work magnificently for this type of event. Check out  the HOME  page of this website to hear the sound.

I want live music, but I don’t want it too loud, so that the guests can talk.

Hire someone who you know will be sensitive to this. Acoustic guitar works like a charm in this situation.

How big of a band do I need?

For dinner music, a solo or a duo works best. For dancing, you need a minimum of a three-piece band, preferably a quartet. If your budget and the room allow, a five or six piece band can kick it up even a notch higher and really get the party moving.

Where can I see you performing live?

I’m performing somewhere almost every night, since some of these events are private, please send me an email at so that I can send you some options of public shows close by your home.

We want it to be a party with everyone dancing, what do you recommend?

To get the party dancing, you’ll need at minimum a three-piece band that includes drums. If you can hire a band whose guitar player also sings, you’ll get a quartet for the price of a trio.

Why should I hire live music when I could have a DJ?

A DJ is great. They can draw upon a wealth of songs. However, “ain’t nothin’ like the real thing” when it comes to live music, especially if the repertoire is broad and the lead singer engages the crowd. It’s like your own private concert. You’ll never forget it.

Note- when budget is an issue, keep in mind that most professional DJ’s actually charge as much as a medium sized live band.

Do we need to meet before the event?

Let’s do it- meeting in person is great, however, many people planning events have busy work schedules and prefer to take care of the music over the phone and online, which is also fine.

Why acoustic guitar instead of a string quartet for a wedding ceremony?

One guitar by itself can perform all of the standard string quartet wedding pieces. Have a listen to the “Wedding Ceremony/Classical” Demo on the HOME page of this website.

The guitar is classic yet contemporary sounding at the same time, as well as intimate and romantic. Plus, you only need to hire ONE person.

I want to do something less traditional then the typical “Pachelbel’s Canon”, but still elegant and romantic- what do I do?

Please email me at ** so you can tell me what kind of music fits you and your fiancée’s personalities best. I’d be happy to learn whatever “your song” might be and perform it for you to make it even more special.

What music should I choose for the Processional, Recessional, etc… I have no idea!

Please email me at ** , I’ll send you a helpful time-saving guide that will make choosing your ceremony music a breeze.

What songs do you perform?

Hundreds! Email me so I can send you a full song list:

If I don’t yet know one you absolutely love, let me know, I’d be happy to learn it for you.

Would you be willing to learn a new song for our first dance?

Of course! I am always up for learning something new, email me at and let’s talk about the song.

Give a quick read on the TESTIMONIALS page of this website to hear what brides who requested a special song have to say about it!

Do you travel?

Absolutely. Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Scottsdale AZ, to name a few recent destination weddings, as well as all over Texas.

What are your credentials?

Master’s Degree in guitar from the University of North Texas. Performing music is my full-time job.

What do you need in order to hold the date for me?

As soon as I have your signed contract in hand along with the retainer check, that date is set in stone.

Timesaving Tip:

With such a wide variety of options from a buddy with an ipod- to a $10,000, 12-piece band, how do I know what is fair?

In order to give you an accurate and competitive quote, a musician needs to know just a few things from you- be prepared with these when you call him or her:

Event details:
  1. Date
  2. Location
  3. Hours that live music is needed
  4. Size of group you need, whether soloist or full band
  5. Amount of people attending
Some helpful questions to ask your prospective entertainment:
  1. Is performing your full time job?
  2. Do you have a music degree?
  3. Do you have a list of testimonials from past clients?
  4. Do you provide your own sound equipment?
  5. Do you have sound samples you can send me?

Call your prospective entertainer.  You can learn a lot about them by the phone conversation itself.

After weighing your options, choose the one you want to work with most, and enjoy the live music!
